Update...a little more waiting...

Well, we had a consult with her surgeon. He had to fuse more lower in the lumbar than he had hoped. She had to do 12 fusions total... in the thoracic and lumbar regions. Two large titanium rods and 15 screws. They took bone from her hip and I did not ask but he may have had to use extra bone from the bone bank. She lost a lot of blood, but so far she has not needed a blood transfusion. They do this new thing now where they can recycle her own blood cells. They recycle her own blood through machine the cleans and to put back into her bloodstream. Even blood is green! :)

Woogie is in recovery, and we are waiting for the phone call for David and I to be able to go back to see her. We were told we could see her in recovery. Not sure what is going on there. Ugggg the waiting is so hard toward the end! :)

She will spend at least one night in Pediatric ICU. As soon as they bring her to the PICU we can go in. We are in the children's hospital side now, awaiting for her to be transferred into PICU.

Updates later. Keep those prayers coming and thank you all!
