He allowed me to take many photos inside and outside utilizing natural light. I wasn't thrilled with the outside shots. Too many shadows on his face. It wasn't the right time of day really. The sun was 1:30 pm...not a good time. It would have been better earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon.
However, the inside photos (such as these below) where I just opened my front door, turned out much better IMO.
All of these were done with the camera set to manual and the 50mm lens set to MF (manual focus)
