That looks great! Is Gimp really complicated to learn how to use? I'd love to try, but I don't have a lot of time to "teach myself" with my 2 little ones to take care of...just wondering how user-friendly it is. :)
Thanks BundlebooMaMa...I just brightened them a bit. She has gorgeous eye color!!!
Andrea, Gimp is comparable to CS2 or CS3 in Photoshop. It is really amazing what you can do with it, and best of all it is FREE! It takes some getting used to at first. I did quite a few different techniques on this photo. I used the heal tool to correct a few blemishes, I used layer/mask/layering to brighten the eyes, even and soften the skintone. I cropped it a bit. I then uploaded in into flickr and used the picnik photo edit to add the vignette. I just like the vignette in picnik so much. :) You could start there in picnik...it has some great editing tools that are also free. If you decide to use gimp, one of the originators of it has a great tutorial blog where you can watch vids and learn techniques. Just google, "meet the gimp" and you will find it. :)
