James 5 for Jordan

Tonight we went to a small group meeting, and our daughter was prayed over for healing. We called upon the elders as the Bible says to do, and we agreed together and prayed the prayer of faith...believing God for her healing. We had done this at our church already, but some friends of our who lead this small Bible study group during the week asked if they could anoint and pray over Jordan.

Jennography 365-22

We pray with no expectation of any certain way for God to heal her, only believing that God will in fact heal her. Actually, He already has!

It may not be in the way we think, but He will be faithful to His words in the Holy Bible.

James 5 13-15 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

I would never say that our daughter's illness is from specific sin in her life. Ultimately, it is the sin of the world since Adam and Eve sinned in the garden.

Yet, if we do recognize specific sin in our lives that needs to be confessed and turned from...if we confess it to the Lord and pray in Jesus name, He is faithful to forgive us.

This is what we believe to be true according to the word of God. We believe in God's healing, unfailing love and care for us...through the power of the Holy Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord. If we "draw nigh to Him, He will draw nigh to us".

I am looking forward to seeing how God will be working in your lives!! It's always good to pray, and then see the prayers answered!

May God bless You today!

Jenn,

This specific prayer was prayed over me by a group of elders for my back once. I will never forget the power of the Spirit moving down my spine. For three days I was week from that experience...again, I will never forget it.

My back pain was much better. I have three herniated discs...they did not go away, but my ability to handle it did. Praise God!

Beautiful post, my friend! ((hugs)) to you!

It's awesome that they offered to pray over her. I pray too, that she will be healed.
